Since we bought our house in this beautiful forest with so much space, I am dreaming animals. Because when I think about a cozy place in the forest, I also see dogs, cats, chicken, goats, gooses, peacocks and so on… But where to start. The guy that was living in the house before had two dogs, a big old one outside and a small one that I believed also lived inside the house. The big old dog outside was deaf. We noticed that he was only barking when he saw us, but never seemed to hear us. Although he looked really friendly and happy to see people, he was also barking a lot and because he was attached with a rope to his little house, I was never brave enough to pet him. When the guy that lived in our house moved out, the previous owners took care of this dog again and also took him with them.
The small dog was never attached with a rope and was always running around freely and it was a friendly funny happy dog. When the guy moved out of our house, this small dog started to live with our neighbor. The one that showed us around the property before we bought it and the one that pulled my dad van up the hill when he was stuck. So when these two dogs left, I felt that I was missing an animals. I like them, they give a nice energy to a place. But of course, as long as we were renovating and not living in our house, it was too early to think about animals.
And then at one day, I was in the barn and a heard a cat meowing. She was at the attic of the barn and when I started to call her, she soon came to me so I could pet her. It was a really beautiful and friendly cat and she seemed to be happy that we were there, maybe just as much as I was happy that she was there! And I was really happy! Because instead of we ‘choosing’ an animal, this beautiful cat decided to live with us! Isn’t that a beautiful story, I really love it. We started to feed this cat, and made a warm place for her on the attic for winter.
One day Gabrielius saw another cat with her, so maybe she is having a boyfriend! Well, let’s find out in spring what happened between these two cats. <3 <3 <3 To be continued!
